Episode 224: Having Fun with Video Games in the Workplace with Scott NovisWe have entered a new era with more and more people working remotely.  It’s safe to say, many companies will permanently adopt some form of a hybrid workforce.  There are many reasons why working remotely is a good idea from cost savings to no more long commutes. However, a hybrid workforce does not come without challenges. Many people find themselves working in isolation and feeling disconnected. They used to stop by a colleague’s desk or have lunch with a friend. There were after-work activities and celebrations for birthdays and major events.  People didn’t realize the impact these activities had on team building and keeping employees engaged. There was already very little fun at work, but now it’s almost non-existent. This new normal can easily lead to unproductive employees, lack of communication, and resignations. Is it okay to have fun at work? As a team member or leader, what can you do to create a strong team and create an environment where people, including you, are fully engaged and want to come to work?In this episode, Scott Novis discusses how playing video games, might just be what your team needs to go from surviving to thriving.  Connect with Scott: https://www.bravous.com/playConnect with your host, Carolyn: https://carolyn360.com
